How to play some simple chords on guitar (beginner)

I'm using my Epiphone Les Paul Special II Vintage Sunburst el-guitar and my new Mustang fender 1, for this.

Remember to tune your guitar before you start. I use an auto tuner.

Now it's in tune. Ready to play?

The first we are going to play is an A major. This one is very easy. Find the second fret on your guitar.

First, you place you index finger at the third string. (the D string)

Then you place your middle finger at the next string. (the G string)

And the ring finger at the next string (the B string) so the last string (E) and the two top strings (E and A) is free.

Well done:) this was an A major

Now I am going to show you a D major.

First, you place your index finger at the fourth string. (the G string)

Then place your middle finger at the last string. (the E)

Place your ring finger at the string between the two others (B string), but at the next fret.

Good job:) this was a D major

Now you are going to learn an E major.

Place your index finger at the fourth string (G string) at the first fret.

Then place your middle finger at the second string (A string) on the second fret.

And now, place your ring finger at the third string. (D string)

Great:) this was an E major

Now we are going to play the same chords but in MINOR.

Remember the E major? If you move all your fingers a string down, it will become an A minor.

Okay, the next one is the easy E minor.

This is what it looks like.

Place your index finger at the second string (A string) on second fret.

And place your middle finger at the third string. (D string)

Perfect! :) now I'm going to show you a D minor. This one is a bit harder

This is what it looks like.

Place you index finger at the last string (the E string) on first fret.

Now place your middle finger at the fourth string (G string) on second fret.

Place your ring finger at the fifth string (B string) on third fret. Yes it hurts a little if its you first time you're doing it ;)

That was it! Thanks for reading, please like if you thought it was helpful. Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Denmark, hope you could read it anyways... ;)
